Vital Ground, an MDF terrain company, has release several new WWII British Pillboxes, Bunders and shelters - including a model of 28mm Truescale WWII British Royal Observer Corps (ROC) Artillery Training Observation Tower at Grimston Warren, Norfolk.
A pair of identical towers were built at Grimston Warren for the ROC to conduct artillery / bombing observation and plotting training. The wooden observation post was built onto a concrete platform set atop 4 brick piers, 6m high! The base is a concrete pad with evidence that ladders were used to access the observation platform.
