From Deweycat comes an stl or the Hungarian 44M “Buzogányvető” (Macethrower). This rocket launcher was a heavy antitank weapon designed to counter the ever more powerful Soviet tanks facing Hungarian troops on the East Front. The 44M consisted of a launcher capable of holding two rockets with the gunner operating from weapon’s left side. Although originally designed to be mounted on a tripod mount, in the field it was normally mounted on the wheeled carriage from captured Soviet HMGs. The 44M was also mounted on tanks and trucks (something not yet represented in Bolt Action).
Two types of ammunition where developed, a shaped charge for use against armour and an HE round for use against troops and soft targets. The rockets were fin stabilized, over 1 meter in length with a warhead over 8” in diameter. In Bolt Action this gives the 444M a pen of 7+ with an AT round (super heavy AT gun) with no degradation in penetration due to range, as it is a shaped charge weapon. Its HE round is the equivalent to a medium howitzer, with a 3” HE Template.
The M44 Macethrower can be found in the Fortress Budapest book, page 120. The .stl pack includes
the 44M, including a pre-supported file.
an .stl for the rocket itself, and
the .stl for the optional 60mm x 60mm base plate.
This model is only suitable for resin printing, the detail is too fine for a successful FDM print
